英汉翻译之——逆向译法(一)
汉语和英语在表达肯定或否定意义时，经常出现截然不同的表达方式。汉语用否定结构表达的内容，地道的英语可能用肯定结构来表达；反之亦然。翻译的时候就得采用“逆向译法”----反说正译，或者正说反译。
A．反说正译
1、前事不忘，后事之师。
To keep in mind that past lessons can serve as a guide for the future.
2、地板未干!
Wet floor!
3、闲人免进。
Employees only.
4、勿踩红线。
Stand off red.
5、售出概不退还。
All sales are final.
6、禁止通道摆摊。
Keep this passage way clear.
7、此路不通。
Dead Lane.
8、勿踏草地！
Keep off the lawn!
9、他有勇无谋。
He is more brave than wise.
10、眼不见，心不烦。
Out of sight, out of mind.
11、这本书5岁孩子读不懂。
The book is beyond the knowledge of a five-year-old child.
12、聪明人不为甜言蜜语所动。
A wise man is superior to flattery.
13、 这辆汽车在红灯前没有停。
The car failed to stop at the red light.
14、 我倒希望你明天来，而不是今天。
I would rather you come tomorrow than today.
15、 真金不怕火炼。
Fire is the test of gold.
